HALIFAX—Regulations to curb e-cigarette use will be unveiled to Nova Scotians next week and legislative changes are likely to follow next spring, the health minister says. According to one Canadian study, published in the British Medical Journal, youth vaping nearly doubled between 2017 and 2018. In October, Nova Scotia Health Minister Randy Delorey said his department was evaluating a possible ban on flavoured vape juice. On Thursday, he told reporters he would be ready to announce the details of vaping regulations next week — a first step in restricting access and availability of vaping products. A group of health advocates and medical professionals made a similar plea to the Nova Scotia legislature last month.
