The Corporation has also pressed into service a van to create awareness among the people on prompt remittance of taxes. The Corporation has already served notice on 402 people: Suramangalam zone 205, Hasthampatti zone 140, Ammapet zone 27 and Kondalampatti zone 30. The Commissioner said that the Corporation had already severed the drinking water connection of 103 houses for not paying water tax. The release asked residents to remit all the tax dues before the deadline fixed by the Corporation to escape from legal action.
