Reacting sharply to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s remark of tit-for-tat arrest of BJP leaders, the main Opposition party on Thursday alleged that the TMC chief has been arresting her opponents. BJP spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said, “She (Mamata) is the administrative head of the government and holds the Home Department portfolio and police are under here. If she wants, she will send all the Opposition leaders behind bars. She has always been doing this. Many Opposition leaders in the state have been falsely booked in several cases.”
