KARACHI: Former Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Monday rejected claims that he has been receiving VIP treatment in jail and has said that “those who believed so try and stay in jail for two days”. The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader expressed these views outside an accountability court in Karachi hearing into a corruption case against him and 11 others. During the hearing, Memon pleaded the court to constitute a medical board to provide him with medical services. The party workers were also gathered outside the court and had greeted Memon by showering flowers petals. Sharjeel Memon was arrested by NAB immediately after his plane landed from Dubai in Islamabad.
