An Invercargill man has pleaded not guilty to shooting another man in the back four times. Through his lawyer, Scott Williamson, the man entered a not guilty plea for the charges related to the shooting incident. The charges included wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and resisting police. The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to three charges of theft, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of methamphetamine in relation to another incident on August 17. Judge Kevin Phillips convicted him and the three charges and remanded him in custody until his next appearance on January 24 for a case review hearing in relation to the shooting charges.
