The research found a consensus among professional investors that Britain’s stock markets were to be avoided and that sentiment hadn’t been this bad since the financial crisis. Even among British investors, our stock markets were the ones that people felt least confident about, according to research from Hargreaves Lansdown, the wealth manager. While global markets soared through 2017, the UK markets were weak in comparison.
