The mission was a joint effort between the Calgary's Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) and northern Alberta's New Beginnings Animal Rescue Society. AARCS executive director Deanna Thompson said the remote northern Alberta community offered little access to veterinary care and animal services, which contributed to cycle of overpopulation. Four dozen puppies and dogs were rescued from a remote community in Northern Alberta this week. (Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society)All of the dogs had been placed with foster families. AARCS volunteer Kathy Brown is fostering two of the puppies rescued from northern Alberta.
