The Mets, seemingly forever opposed to building in contingencies, have seen their Plan Bs evaporate over the last few days. So the Mets ended Thursday’s game with an outfield, from left to right, of Brandon Nimmo, Juan Lagares and Keon Broxton. New general manager Brodie Van Wagenen underscored the urgency of the Mets’ current stretch on Friday, when he made a flurry of roster moves that amounted to adding a bunch of Plan Cs to the Mets. “We said publicly then and it’s played itself out now that Keon’s move was potentially redundant by design,” Van Wagenen said. “Our job is to support Mickey and the coaching staff, and support the players, and we expect to win,” Van Wagenen said.
