The Service Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri on Friday ruled out joining Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja Movement, even as he maintained he was open to talks on coalition building. Kiunjuri dismissed claims that he had been contacted and accepted to join Azimio which enjoys the support of President Uhuru Kenyatta. “We are disturbed that yesterday one of the senior leaders from Azimio and also in Jubilee purported to issue a statement whereby [he] masqueraded to speak on our behalf that TSP is already in talks to join Azimio," Kiunjuri said. Kiunjuri has over the years been seen to have a soft spot for Ruto but the two reportedly differed after he formed his new party. If there is no respect coming in, TSP is ready to go as a neutral party to the end."
