Northerners living in Imo State have exonerated themselves from the rumour of attack by Miyetti Allah in the state. A Northern leader in the state and the Senior Special Assistant to Governor of Imo State on Gender Vulnerable Groups Northern Affairs (Men), Hon. He advised the people of Imo State to ignore such rumour, which according to him, was misleading and capable of bringing disunity between them and their host communities in the state. The SSA who dismissed the rumour urged the people to go about their normal daily duties without fear of any attack. He said that Northerners had lived in Imo State for decades without any kind of trouble or fight among the two tribes.
