SEPANG: North Korean chemist Ri Jong-chol was deported on Friday at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The 47-year-old was deported after being detained during investigations into the death of Kim Jong-nam, who was assassinated on Feb 13 while waiting for a Macau-bound flight at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2). A Mercedes Benz with an embassy logo was then seen heading towards the runway. Ri was arrested at his apartment in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur, on Feb 17.
