North Korea's Foreign Ministry slammed Wednesday the most recent United Nations resolution passed against it, rejecting the sanctions and saying they were a "product of heinous provocation." The United States "fabricated" Monday's UN resolution "employing all sorts of despicable and vicious means and methods," according to the statement, which was published by the Korean Central News Agency. The statement follows criticism from Han Tae Song, a North Korean diplomat, at a UN Disarmament Conference in Geneva on Tuesday. The sanctions seek to curb key sources of income for Pyongyang, by banning textile exports and money transfers by expatriate North Korean workers. China, Japan and South Korea all supported the most recent set of sanctions.
