NORTH HURON – Council approved the appointment of a casual bylaw/property standards officer on Dec. 20 at the last council meeting of 2021. North Huron CAO Dwayne Evans provided a report and information to council, explaining how the position will work moving forward. “Earlier this fall the township’s bylaw enforcement/property standards officer tendered his resignation effective Dec. 17, 2021,” said Evans. “The intentions are that the chief building official will assume the duties and responsibilities of a bylaw enforcement officer. “It is expected the CBO position will assume responsibility for bylaw enforcement services,” stated Evans’ report.
