Authorities in Spain say the victims of Thursday’s attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils, which claimed the lives of 14 people and left more than 100 injured, come from 34 countries. Among them are citizens of Morocco, Egypt and Mauritania, according to the Emergències Catalunya civil protection agency. Spanish officials continue the work of identifying the victims and notifying their families, with forensic doctors working around the clock to establish names and causes of death. A total of seven suspects have died in attack-related incidents, including five who were killed by police Thursday night in Cambrils and one who died at Alcanar. There are conflicting details about the remaining death, which occurred at a checkpoint on the outskirts of Barcelona and is now believed to be linked.
