A Norfolk town has been named by The Times as one of the best places to live beside the sea in 2023. The quaint town of Sheringham is the only Norfolk town to make it to the list and it has been described as "the sweet spot on the lovely North Norfolk coast". The Times praises the town for being "a little smarter than the faded resorts to the east and a lot more liveable than the exorbitant holiday-home ghettos to the west". The traditional seaside town enjoys all the elements of a classic spot beside the sea including a pier, amusement arcades, a beach and plenty of spots for fish and chips or an ice cream. No event is complete without an appearance from the Sheringham Shantymen — a reminder that life here really does revolve around the sea."
