Homes wrecked after a nor'wester storm hit Lalmohon and Charfesson upazilas in Bhola on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 Dhaka TribunePower lines snapped during the storm and disrupted power supply for more than 12 hoursPowerful seasonal storms destroyed at least 250 houses and damaged two educational institutions in Bhola’s Lalmohon and Charfesson upazilas on Wednesday night. A storm hit Lalmohon upazila’s Paschim Charumed, Romaganj and Lord Hardinge unions around 10:30pm, damaging houses in 10 villages. Another storm hit Charfesson upazila’s Nil Komol, Nurabad, Aminabad and Aslampur unions. Power lines snapped during the storm and disrupted power supply for more than 12 hours. Nurunnabi Chowdhury, the MP from Bhola 3 constituency, visited the affected areas on Thursday morning and provided the affected families cash and relief materials.
