PETALING JAYA: Non-Malaysian spouses and children of Malaysian citizens may now apply for permission to enter the country without a long-term pass. However, this is only applicable to those from countries still not barred from entering Malaysia. "This is according to the decision made by the government which had been announced by the Senior Minister (Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob) on Aug 25. The application will then be processed and then deliberated by a task force before permission is granted, according to Khairul. “Strict action will be taken against those who fail to adhere to SOPs (standard operating procedures)," he said.
