The demonstration took place in front of the National Press Club around 11:30am on Tuesday. Addressing the human chain as the chief guest, BNP Vice-Chairman Abdullah Al Noman said: “We are worried about Khaleda Zia’s health. She needs immediate medical treatment.”He further said Khaleda must be released before the general election which is only three months away. As a result, it will be difficult to prove her innocence.”The BNP leaders said if Khaleda was not released, the country’s people would eventually come forward and compel the government to release her. BNP Vice-Chairman Prof AZM Zahid Hossain and other BNP leaders were also present at the event.
