It's official, Nokia is launching its flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8 in India on September 26 at an event in new Delhi. HMD Global, the company behind Nokia's comeback into the smartphone game, has sent media invites for the "unveiling of the next milestone of Nokia Phones". On the front, there is a 13MP sensor with phase detection autofocus which is also ZEISS certified. Just like the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, the Nokia 8 also runs on a near stock build of Android 7.1.1 Nougat with an update to Android 8.0 Oreo along the way. HMD Global also promises timely monthly security updates with the Nokia 8.
