Noise, gasoline and freedom: A mini-series explores the Harley-Davidson story

Los Angeles, Sep 3 (EFEU).- The story of the legendary motorcycle brand Harley-Davidson is coming to the small screen in a three-episode mini-series that aims to bring TV viewers the sounds, sights and even smell of those iconic American machines. Produced by Discovery Channel, "Harley and the Davidsons" will premiere on Monday in the United States and features "Game of Thrones" actors Michiel Huisman and Robert Aramayo, as well as Bug Hall, best known for his performance in the 1994 film "The Little Rascals," in starring roles. But the motorcycles themselves, those noisy American symbols of freedom, youth and rebellion, are the real protagonists of a series that recounts the founding of the brand by brothers Walter, William and Arthur Davidson and their friend William Harley in 1903 in Milwaukee. Huisman said a lot of information existed about Harley-Davidson motorcycles but much less about the people who invented them, an aspect that allowed the creators of the series to use some poetic license. He noted that Harley-Davidsons were now associated with a way of life and had achieved iconic status but said the series explored how that myth was created and how those vehicles came to be more than just motorcycles.
