Habibur Rahman, 50 is the office secretary of the Sonadia Union Awami League. He was attacked at a tea stall in Maisechara village around 12pm on Friday, said his brother Nurul Islam, Sonadia Union Parishad chairman and local Awami League leader. A group of armed men riding on bike, open fire to scatter a thrill and hacked the man wound after beating him down. A case has yet to be filed over the incident. Legal action will be taken after formal complaint received, said Hatiya Police OC Kamruzzaman Sikdar.
