KUALA LUMPUR: A claim of the non-arrival of a suspected Bangladeshi militant deported from Malaysia to his country in July has turned out to be untrue. Bangladesh news portal dhakatribune.com reported that Golam was missing, although its police confirmed he was deported from Malaysia on July 19. Malaysian officials later told Rabbani's family that Bangladesh authorities had asked for his deportation. Before going to Malaysia, Rabbani used to run a coaching centre for school students in the town of Bogra. Two other Bangladeshis who were later also deported from Malaysia on suspicion of links with Daesh militants are in Bangladesh police custody.
