No to Dunedin managed isolation centre

Dunedin hotels will not be used as managed isolation centres for people returning to New Zealand at this stage, Megan Woods says. There are 32 managed isolation facilities in New Zealand and the Government was not planning to increase that. Last week, he said he believed the city wanted to play its part by becoming a managed isolation facility centre. Air Commodore Darren Webb said the national capacity for quarantine and managed isolation facilities was close to being exhausted. Woods said that meant about 15,000 people could return to New Zealand each month, accounting for those departing quarantine and managed isolation facilities.
