Mild to moderate heat wave is scorching Bangladesh for six days in mid Baishakh, the first month of summer on Bangla calendar. Mercury rose as high as to 39.9 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi - the maximum temperature recorded in Bangladesh on Sunday. In Dhaka, the highest temperature was 35.8 degrees Celsius while it was 39.4 in Chuadanga, and 38.5 in Ishwardy and Jashore. “There is no rain now as the clouds over the land are racing towards the eye of the storm.
