Justic­e Isa’s counse­l Muneer A Malik object­s to 'media trial' agains­t the SC judgeISLAMABAD: Supreme Court’s Justice Sajjad Ali Shah has said that presidential reference against Justice Qazi Faez Esa doesn’t say his children and spouse are his dependents. A presidential reference has been lodged against Justice Isa claiming that he hid the assets of his family members in an earlier asset declaration. During the hearing, Justice Yahya Afridi questioned whether the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) served any notice to the SC judge over non-disclosure of three foreign properties. There has been a calculated media trial against the SC judge by leaking information related to the reference with the media,” he added. Justice Muneeb Akhtar replied, “There was nothing concrete to establish the claim.”He asked Malik whether the SC judge visited abroad in the recent past and stayed there.
