A bipartisan delegation of US lawmakers arrived in Dharamshala, India on June 18 to meet Tibetan leader in exile, Dalai Lama. The delegation was led by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, and included former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The visit from the US delegation came after US Congress passed the Resolve Tibet Act which strengthened US support for Tibet. Further commenting on the US’ ‘Resolve Tibet Act’, Chinese FM spox reiterated China’s stance on Xizang province. In what appeared to be a tough statement for US, Chinese FM spox later said, “No one and no force should ever attempt to destabilize Xizang”.
