Mike Yardley says it's no surprise the Crusaders' name is being retained for 2020 as polling showed strong public and fan support for its retention. It was equally poignant to see Canterbury's Muslim community banding together to celebrate Eid at the Airforce Museum, after enduring such egregious evil. The moment I mentioned I was from Christchurch, the line of conversation soon turned to the despicable attack on our Muslim community. But no-one should be surprised that the Crusaders name is being retained. It certainly wasn't driven by the Muslim community, who unlike the ringleaders of this campaign, maintained their dignity.
