Days after a blizzard hit Toronto, there’s some resemblance of daily activity returning to Kensington Market. Among their cross-country specialties: fettuccine alfredo topped with jerk chicken and gnocchi with ackee and saltfish. It looked glorious as the snow on the ground reflected the sun, making the tacos and jerk pop. The heat from the chicken hits that much harder in the cold, same with the hot sauce from the tacos. When torn in half, the steam from the giant jerk chicken dumpling rises up to warm my cheeks.
