Far be it for me to besmirch my hometown, but cultural advice for tourists swarming to Motherwell has rarely been in high demand. Well-meaning, perhaps, but patronising all the same, and utterly dismissive of the looming threat that Jens Berthel Askou’s men are starting to pose to the established order. They are undoubtedly playing the best football in the division at the minute, but they have substance to match the style, too. But that won’t be the way that Berthel Askou is looking at it. And they have more than a puncher’s chance of pulling off what would surely be the biggest upset in Scottish football history.
