The world was a nervous place one hundred years ago as the forgotten people of Russia changed its status quo for all time. We grew up believing in the importance of Parliament, of public service and the value of constituency parliamentarians like our fathers and grandfathers. Our generations have run close together and I am not sure where I fit but my children are generation Y. I don't mean Jeremy Corbyn's "Prime Minister's Questions" by email, but MPs speaking with the voice of their constituency. That is real populism but based on truth and mutual trust, it is what democracy is meant to be.
