Two women escaped serious injury Monday when a car fell from the second storey of the Londonderry Mall parkade onto the parking lot below. The car broke through a barrier and fell more than 20 feet to the parking lot below. Emergency crews had to use the Jaws of Life to pull the women from the crumpled car, which lay upside down. Police say two women in their 30s were in a Kia Forte in the parkade just after 1 p.m. when the driver hit the gas instead of the brake. Both women were taken to hospital as a precaution.
