MEN’S doubles Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik concluded their debut in the BWF World Tour Finals with a consolation win, but not before some anxious moments in Guangzhou yesterday. It wasn’t plain-sailing though for the young Malaysian pair who were forced to come from behind in the third game before securing their maiden victory in Group B. The Sea Games champions had trailed on several occasions but made their move in the closing stages of the third game. “We are disappointed for not being able to reach the semi-finals but we did our best here,” said Aaron. The Olympic qualifying period ends in April next year.
