KLANG: The Attorney-General's Chambers has declared a NFA (No Further Action) on the investigation papers (IP) into the failure of Klang City International Marathon organiser to obtain a licence or apply for one from the Sports Commissioner to hold the event last December. Klang Selatan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli said the IP was classified as NFA by the Attorney-General's General Crimes and Public Order Unit chief on Feb 12. On Dec 10 about 4.30am during the marathon, runner Evelyn Ang, 44, was hit by a car at the 14th kilometre point of the marathon, along with two others, Ahmad Hadafi Yus, 42, and Amiruddin Hamid, 37. Amar said the assistant Sports Commissioner was informed about the accident by the Sports Commissioner about 3.10pm on Dec 10 last year. The case was subsequently investigated under Section 36 (1) of the Sports Development Act 1997.
