more-inHaving chalked out a strategy to check their entry through inter-State borders, the Delhi Police are now in talks with the Railways to ensure that Jat protesters demanding reservation are not able to take the rail route reach the Capital on March 20, when they have planned a massive rally to Jantar Mantar. “We have inputs that many of the protesters would try to come via train as the land borders will be more secure. If need be, we will deploy additional forces at all stations to prevent them from converging at Jantar Mantar or elsewhere. Mr. Verma reiterated that there is no permission as of today to protest at Jantar Mantar or elsewhere. The police have already said that protesters on-board tractors or private buses would not be allowed to enter Delhi and such vehicles would be impounded at the border.
