In the futures market, rubber prices, which tumbled 27% in the first quarter for their worst performance since 2008, have since gained about 14%. With the outlook still fraught, major producers -- Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia -- are coping in different ways. MalaysiaZairossani Mohd Nor, director general of the Malaysian Rubber Board:Malaysia’s rubber industry is expected to grow 6.5% to 33 billion ringgit ($7.7 billion) compared with 2019.
