No dogs allowed in public parks, BMA insists

Many Bangkok residents have called on the BMA to allow them to walk their dogs in public parks, he said. The animals cannot be allowed because the parks are also used by the elderly, children and people who do not love dogs. So far, the BMA has one dog park and will open more soon, he added. The first BMA dog park, Watcharapirom Park in Bang Khen, draws about 300 to 500 visitors on weekdays and about 1,000 to 1,500 on weekends. Chakkaphan said the BMA is planning for dog parks in all corners of the capital.
