“I had to drop out of school in Class VIII and worked as a mechanic for four years. I always had low vision, but my vision deteriorated further and got to a point where I couldn’t carry on working. I scored 434 marks in Class X and 512 marks in the Class XI board exams,” he added. Excitement was writ large on the faces of students from the Little Flower Convent Higher Secondary School for the Deaf. Nancy Mary, another student, who scored 505 marks, said she wanted to learn more about computers.
