QUẢNG NAM — No fatalities have been reported in the fire that broke out in a factory in Quảng Nam Province’s Chu Lai-Trường Hải Auto Manufacture and Assembly Complex on Thursday evening. Concerned agencies are working to calculate the damages caused by the fire, the central province’s People’s Committee said on Friday morning. Initial investigations have revealed that the fire burnt down a set of automobile components including tyres and specialised paints. Trường Hải Automobile JSC (Thaco), which owns the factory, is now working to resume operations. The company has invested US$400 million in the construction of the Chu Lai-Trường Hải Industrial Complex, which has a logistic centre, car production factories, a vocational training college, a sea port, storage facilities and shipping services in the Chu Lai-Trường Hải Mechanical Automobile Industrial Zone.
