Neither India nor any other country has the right to influence Sri Lanka and that the present government will not allow any harm to be done to Sri Lanka’s sovereignty or territorial integrity, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga yesterday said. He was responding to questions raised by the media regarding the statement made by an Indian Minister that the Indian Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) will form a political party in the country. Speaking further the Minister said, “Yahapalanaya was created in 2015 with the support of some foreign countries. After that, the government acted as a puppet of some foreign countries. We are a strong government.”He further said,”If a party wants to contest elections in Sri Lanka, it has to be registered.
