No charges have been laid and there are no plans to investigate the matter further after the well known “Toronto” sign in Nathan Phillips Square was vandalized during Nuit Blanche, a spokesperson for the City of Toronto said. “All graffiti has been removed,” media relations spokesperson Wynna Brown told the Star. Nuit Blanche and City staff worked to clean off the sign, which is now graffiti-free, Brown said. “I would say this was just kids,” Mayor John Tory told media on Monday. “I mean, most well brought up children shouldn’t do things like that, but having said that, fortunately, they’ve got it all cleaned up.”
