General News of Tuesday, 20 January 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Head of Public Relations of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), DOII Desmond Ackah, has confirmed that no casualties were recorded in the fire outbreak at the Circle Tip Toe Lane market. “…We have not recorded any fatalities or injuries, whether among firefighters or civilians,” he revealed. The fire, which began around mid-morning on Tuesday, gutted several shops and properties, completely destroying them. Eyewitnesses said the blaze spread rapidly through the densely packed wooden structures before firefighters arrived. Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded swiftly with fire tenders and managed to bring most of the fire under control.
