In the third set right-side hitter Reagan Rutherford went off for the Wildcats with six kills in the set to get Kentucky a 22-19 lead. The fourth set didn’t start well for Nebraska either, with the Wildcats getting some big blocks to take a 10-5 lead. Nebraska tied the match late on a difficult kill by Batenhorst because it came off a long bump set. Jackson and Beason had big kills down the stretch, and Kentucky hit out on match point. After a back-and-forth start to the match, Nebraska busted things open in the first set when Bergen Reilly served a 7-0 run for a 17-10 lead.
