No. 22 Kansas State runs over Kansas, 38-10

22 Kansas State smothered host Kansas 38-10 in the first sellout since 2009 in Lawrence, Kan. Playing without leading rusher James Gilbert, Kansas State (6-2, 3-2 Big 12) still powered for 342 yards on the ground. Only its own lack of execution prevented Kansas State from scoring more points. Early in the fourth quarter, Kansas State capitalized on fourth-down stops in Kansas territory after gambles by Jayhawks coach Les Miles. The second pick, by Kansas State linebacker Da’Quan Patton, came with 1:25 left and set up a 39-yard field goal by Blake Lynch as time expired.
