North Alabama (5-8), in its second year as a Division I program, lost its third straight game. Lions guard Jamari Blackmon, who was named the Atlantic Sun Conference’s Freshman of the Year last season, scored a game-high 15 points. North Alabama came right back, making 3 of 4 shots to take a 7-6 lead. North Alabama made 38.5 percent. North Alabama never made a serious run in the second half, although it finished with 46.2 percent shooting for the game, including 10 of 20 on 3-pointers.
