14 Kentucky became the first school to reach 1,000 victories in Southeastern Conference play when it recorded a 76-67 win over visiting Alabama Saturday afternoon. The big play was a 3-pointer by sophomore guard Immanuel Quickley with one minute left to put Kentucky on top 74-67. Quickley added two free throws with 34 seconds left to seal the game. Alabama (8-7, 1-2) leads the SEC in scoring at 84.4 points per game, but ranks dead last in scoring defense, allowing 78.9 points. Junior guard John Petty scored 16 and sophomore guard Kira Lewis added 10.
