13:46Theresa May is planning to raise a dispute between two aerospace companies in North America that threatens jobs in Northern Ireland with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Bombardier is Northern Ireland’s largest employer in terms of manufacturing and makes the wings for the CSeries passenger jets in its East Belfast plant. Last week the prime minister telephoned Donald Trump to raise the court case and the threat to the CSeries contract which could put jobs in jeopardy in Belfast. May is expected to discuss the Bombardier versus Boeing case with prime minister Trudeau when they meet later today in Ottawa. May and her minority Conservative government needs his and the votes of his nine fellow DUP MPs to remain in power.
