Nkaissery says deradicalisation key to ending school unrest


Nkaissery said 120 cases of school unrest had been reported in the last 18 months . Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery has appealed to school heads to embark on deradicalisation programs as way out of current unrest in most institutions. Nkaissery further asked principals of secondary schools to create closer communication avenues for students to express their grievances. Education CS Fred Matiangi said the ministry has plans for national schools' heads to mentor their colleagues at other secondary schools. Matiang'i said the over 100 principals of national schools will mentor 500 schools within a year.
