PETALING JAYA: Nirvana Asia Group has expressed concern over recent incidents of urn theft and desecration at several memorial parks, assuring affected families that steps have been taken to address the situation. In a statement, the group said it deeply regretted the distress caused to families of the deceased and extended its apologies for the emotional impact. “At the same time, we have activated our highest-level emergency response measures, including establishing direct communication channels with affected families,” said the group. Nirvana described the acts as serious criminal offences and a violation of the dignity of the deceased and the rights of their families. The company also urged the public and media to refrain from spreading unverified information that could interfere with investigations or cause further distress to affected families.
