Medical reports on the patient who tested positive for Nipah, recuperating in a private hospital, say that his condition has improved. The patient has been able to walk and eat on his own and has had good sleep, according to the health bulletin. To continue other treatments, one person has been shifted to the ward and one to the intensive care unit. Meanwhile, one of the contacts traced out of the 329 people who have had direct or indirect contact with the Nipah positive patient, has developed fever. The district health authorities are continuing the training activities to strengthen various preventive activities against the spread of the virus.
