A total of nine people have been arrested by gardaí during a Day of Action targeting money laundering. Officers with the DMR East Division, assisted by the Serious Crime Unit, arrested the nine adults over the course of the operation. Three women, including two aged in their 20s, and one in their 30s, and two men, aged in their 30s and 50s, have since been released. Gardaí say files will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in these cases. Gardaí also arrested three men, including one in his late teens, one in his 20s, and one in his 30s, and one female aged in her late teens, who have all since been charged and released on bail.
